Anthropic employee quits over safety concerns

(CNN)– Ai safety concerns among workers in that field are becoming more commonplace.

Two days ago, the chief scientist for Open-Ai warned that Ai capabilities are advancing faster than researchers’ ability to reliably monitor and control them.

And now, another Anthropic employee has quit.

Former Researcher Jacob Coxon posted to social media about his resignation saying, ”the people building Ai earnestly believe it could kill us all by the end of the decade.”

A more senior Anthropic employee commented that Coxon was correct.

He said despite Anthropic’s good intentions, the company doesn’t have a plan to avoid so called super-intelligence.
