Orangeburg coroner identifies teen that drowned at Lake Marion

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has identified a teenager that drowned at Lake Marion on Monday.

Coroner Sean Fogle identified the victim as Kamell Brown, 17, of Fourwind Rd., Holly Hill.

Deputies say after 4 p.m., they responded to Indian Bluff Landing at Lake Marion after two teens had reportedly not surfaced.

Brown was declared dead on scene, while the other teen was resuscitated after the deputy performed CPR.

This incident remains under investigation.
