FBI Columbia to host free public presentation on Nihilistic Violent Extremism

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– According to agents with FBI Columbia, “nihilistic and violent extremism” is on the rise across South Carolina.

To help alert parents to the growing issue, a free event will be held this Saturday, September 12, at 4 p.m. at The Town of Lexington Office on Maiden Lane.

Attendees will learn the warning signs, online influences, and preventative measures available to combat the dangerous trend.

Officials underscore that the event is only for those who are 18 years old or older.
