Lottery player almost faints after win

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands lottery player says winning $30,000 on a $2 scratch-off was dizzying, said lottery officials.

“I almost fainted,” she told lottery officials.

She said she got off work and stopped by the Shell station on Hwy. 34 in Newberry to get a lottery ticket that made her head spin.

“This can’t be true,” she said after seeing her $30,000 win.

The winner beat the 1 in 750,000 odds on the Quick Cash game to leave one more top prize remaining.
