UPDATE: Richland Coroner id’s Colony Apartments homicide victim

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a homicide at the Colony Apartments Saturday.

Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the victim as William Anderson IV, 24, of Columbia.

According to investigators, Richland County deputies heard gunfire coming from The Colony Apartments.

When they responded, investigators say deputies found a car that had crashed into a building on Bailey Street.

Columbia Police then responded and say the driver, Anderson, had a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
