Governor McMaster attends 3rd annual South Carolina Nuclear Summit

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Governor Henry McMaster attended the 3rd annual South Carolina Nuclear Summit Tuesday (September 29).

The event was hosted by the Palmetto Nuclear Coalition with support from the University of South Carolina’s College of Engineering and Computing and Santee Cooper.

Leaders and organizers gathered today for the event at the Colonial Life Arena.

A partnership between USC and Westinghouse Electric Company was also announced.

The new partnership will create a workforce development program that supports national deployment of nuclear power plants.
