Local Living: First Responders Barbecue Cook-off, Carnaval del Barrio, Congaree Swampfest, Enter to win SC Fair Family Fun Pack
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is hosting it’s 2nd annual First Responders Barbecue Cook-off next week.
It takes place Saturday, October 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sumter County Civic Center.
There will also be a raffle and car show.
Admission is free.
The Carnaval del Barrio event is going down Saturday, October 3 at Finlay Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There will be plenty of music, cultural performances, plus food trucks, resources and more all to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
Admission is free.
The two-day Congaree Swampfest is going down this weekend.
The Barbecue Blues Southern Soul R&B Fest starts tonight (Friday, October 2) at 7 p.m. and the Swampfest starts Saturday at noon.
It all takes place at the historic Harriet Barber House grounds in Hopkins.
It is free to attend.
You still have time to get free tickets to the state fair.
Now through Sunday, October 4, you can enter for your chance to win a family fun pack on the ABC Columbia website.
Each fun pack includes four admission passes and two ride vouchers.
Winners will be selected on Monday, October 5.
The state fair takes place between October 15 and October 25.
