Local Living: SC State Fair, Orangeburg County Fair, Columbia Italian Festival, Biscuits and Bluegrass
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the South Carolina State Fair hits the midway next week.
Fair officials say this year features more than 60 rides, new attractions like Palmetto championship wrestling, and the sea lion splash.
Plus the return of the free daily circus, new food, drinks and so much more.
The state fair starts next Thursday on October 15 and runs through Sunday, October 25.
If you need your fair fix before the SC State Fair you can head to the Orangeburg County Fair on Magnolia Street.
It’s open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, and tomorrow (October 9) from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Also it is open over the weekend, Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
On Sunday, October 10, it is open from noon to 7 p.m.
You can enjoy plenty of rides, delicious food, live entertainment and so much more.
The Columbia Italian Festival has been postponed due to weather.
The festival’s new date is next weekend on Saturday, October 17 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Finlay Park.
There will be authentic Italian food, live entertainment, grape stomping and more.
The event is still free to attend.
Senior resources’ 8th annual Biscuits and Bluegrass event starts next Saturday, October 17.
It’s from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hangar on Jim Hamilton Boulevard.
Enjoy live music, food, and much more all to benefit the non-profit.
Ticket sales close on October 16 at noon.
