Musk gives $400 million to GOP campaigns

(CNN)– Billionaire Elon Musk has continued to give hundreds of millions of dollars to help Republicans in the midterm elections to the tune of $445 million.

Thursday, October 22’s filings with the Federal Election Commission show the world’s richest man plowed an additional $76.8 million into his super pac, America pac, in the first two weeks of October.

But Musk spent more in the months before giving a total of $158 million in September to the Senate Leadership Fund.

He also made eight-figure donations to super pacs involved in house contests.
