Apple releases Mac with touchscreen

(CNN)– After years of resisting the idea Apple is finally launching a touch-screen laptop.

The tech giant introduced a new Macbook Pro Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Users can control the laptop by touching its screen much like an iPhone.

It’s a major reversal for Apple.

Former Apple CEO’s Steve Jobs and Tim Cook both dismissed the idea of a touch-screen laptop.

The new device is the third major product unveiled since John Ternus became Apple’s CEO in September.

Apple also recently introduced a foldable iPhone and a new tablet for the home.
