Tropical Storm Alberto Expected to Stay Offshore

It’s an early storm season as Tropical Storm Alberto forms in the Atlantic. Alberto is expected to stay away from our coastal areas, churning off shore of the South East. It will mainly create a few clouds Sunday. The Tropical Storm is not expected to bring any rain to the Midlands. Alberto was named a tropical storm Saturday upon forming in the Atlantic. June 1 marks the official start to hurricane season, but tropical storms occasionally occur before then.
