Spartanburg searchers find missing woman’s wallet
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Volunteers searching for a woman missing for more than a month found her wallet near the place in Spartanburg where the last signal from her cell phone was recorded.
The wallet was found Saturday as friends and family organized a search for clues in the disappearance of 42-year-old Evelyn Shelton, last seen May 20.
Police are checking the wallet for evidence as volunteers continue to hand out flyers.
Shelton’s family plans to honor her at a church service on Sunday, which is her 43rd birthday.
