Man Kills 4, Then Himself, As Police Chase

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a man suspected of killing four people in Aiken County took his own life after officers chased him in a car belonging to one of the victims. Aiken County Sheriff’s spokesman Capt. Charles Barranco says 46-year-old Ken Meyers led deputies back early Sunday morning to the spot in Wagener where three bodies were found about nine hours before and shot himself. He was driving the fourth victim’s car. Barranco says a gun was involved in all four killings. He says the coroner’s office will release the names of the victims, how they died and any relationship between them and the suspect. Investigators say they are still trying to figure out why Meyers went on a killing spree. Barranco says deputies weren’t familiar with him before Saturday night.
