Police: Man shot girlfriend’s sister during fight

PINEWOOD, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a Pinewood woman is dead after she was shot by her sister’s boyfriend as he tried to break up a fight between the women.

Sumter County deputies say 40-year-old Christopher Rodko turned himself into officers at the scene of the shooting around 5 p.m. Sunday. He is charged with murder.

Investigators say Rodko shot and killed 35-year-old Ginger McLeod after the victim started fighting with her sister.

Rodko is being held without bail. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
