Bus, SUV hit by objects thrown onto I-26 in SC

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say two vehicles on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County have been damaged by objects thrown from bridges over the highway.

Drivers of a tour bus and a sports utility vehicle told police their windshields were broken as they drove along I-26 in early Monday morning. Neither driver was injured.

Deputies say the latest incidents come a few weeks after vehicles driving on Interstate 85 in Spartanburg County were hit by objects thrown from bridges. No one was injured during those incidents either.

Investigators ask any drivers who see suspicious activity on area roads to call 911.
