Authorities release age progressed photo of Dail Dinwiddie

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In hopes of solving a nearly 20 year old missing persons case involving Dail Dinwiddie, police released an aged progressed photo of her, Monday. In a joint press conference between the Columbia Police Department, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and SLED, authorities released the photo which depicts what Dinwiddie would look like today at 43 years old. Dail Dinwiddie’s parents were also at the press conference, pleading for help. “A mama never rests when any of her children is not known to be safe,” says Jean Dinwiddie, Dail’s Mother. Dinwiddie was last seen September 24, 1992 at Jungle Jim’s in Five Points with friends after a U2 concert. “Many of you who were in Five Points on the night of September 23, 1992 and the morning of Thursday, September 24, 1992, are possibly parents by now, so you can realize even more so how devestating it would be four you if your children were to be missing,” says Jean Dinwiddie. Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott says law enforcement has used every method to find Dinwiddie. “These cases are the ones that will haunt you forever,” says Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott. “Today, twenty years after the abduction of my child I still cannot rest easy because I don’t know where she is,” says Jean Dinwiddie. A $20,000 reward is now being offered in the case to anyone with information that leads to Dail Dinwiddie’s whereabouts. If you have any information you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
