CLEMSON, S.C. (WOLO) — Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney says he is happy with the improvements he has seen on defense during fall camp. The Tigers are coming off a 2011 season in which their defense ranked 71st in the country in total defense. Clemson’s defense also allowed 30 points per game. 1st year defensive coordinator Brent Venables says the number one stat in football is scoring defense and he is trying to emphasize that to his unit.
