Local fundraiser for Syria, Turkey earthquake victims

A local restaurant is raising money to help victims affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— A local restaurant is raising money to help victims affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.

Noma Bistro by Al Amir, a Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Columbia, held a cookout fundraiser yesterday, offering meals in exchange for donations.

It was a great success, the owner says the community showed true southern hospitality through their support.
