Tigers Release 2011 Football Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — A three-game stretch involving games
against national champion Auburn, Atlantic Coast Conference
champion Virginia Tech and league runner-up Florida State highlight
the 2011 Clemson football schedule.
With the traditional season finale against South Carolina, the
Tigers will face the teams that battled each other for the ACC and
Southeastern Conference titles.
The Tigers are looking to rebound from a 6-7 season, their first
losing record in 12 years. Their bid to come back includes a
three-week run in which they host Auburn on Sept. 17, play ACC
Atlantic Division champion Florida State at home one week later to
open conference play, then travel to face the Hokies on Oct. 1.
Clemson opens the 2011 season against Troy on Sept. 3.
