Southwest Airlines makes record revenue despite holiday travel trouble

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN)—Passengers have seemingly forgiven Southwest airlines after its winter service meltdown.

The airline said its bookings in March were strong–surpassing revenue seen in the same period in 2019— a year before the pandemic.

But due to weak bookings in January and February the company could not overcome a revenue loss for the first quarter.
