71-year-old SC woman found dead in her apartment
ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 71-year-old woman found dead by her son was strangled and struck in the face.
Anderson County deputy coroner Don McCown says Linda Clark’s son called 911 about 3 a.m. Friday after finding his mom dead in her apartment.
County sheriff’s spokesman Chad McBride says it’s a despicable crime.
Meanwhile, Anderson County deputies made a fourth arrest Friday in the killing of an 86-year-old Belton man.
County Coroner Greg Shore says volunteers were taking food to Glenn Craft when they found his body on Monday. Shore says Craft died of a single gunshot about 3 a.m.
Those charged with murder include Craft’s 17-year-old great-grandson, who was captured in York late Wednesday.
Investigators say at least $260 was stolen from Craft, and his wallet was missing.
