Cops seek 3rd suspect in Lancaster shooting death

LANCASTER, S.C. (AP) — Police are looking for a third person in connection with the death of a man found shot at his Lancaster home.

Police said Saturday they were looking for 21-year-old Cameron Leroy Maier on a charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Authorities say they believe Maier conspired with 29-year-old Junior Lee Kiker Jr. and 29-year-old Samantha Diane Humphries to rob David Scott Brazzell.

Investigators say Humphries is Brazzell’s former girlfriend. Police say the 41-year-old Brazzell let Humphries into his home July 16, and Kiker came in shortly thereafter and shot him.

Bond has been denied for both Kiker and Humphries. It wasn’t known if they had attorneys.

Police urged anyone with information on Maier to call 911.
