Watch: Daughters Increase Reward for Info on Columbia Murder

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO) — Its been five months since the body of Charles Kusko was discovered inside his home here on Budon Court.

His two daughters are determined to find answers, so they’re chipping in the only way they know how.

Kusko’s daughter Laurin Barnes says, “Its been the most difficult five months of our lives.”
Columbia Police found Kusko’s body inside his home during a welfare check.
The death was ruled homicide by the Richland County Coroner’s office who say he was shot in the upper body.
Barnes tells ABC Columbia, “You think that you’re going to have a certain amount of time with someone and I thought that we had so much more time together. I can’t believe it.”
While CPD’s investigation continues without an arrest Barnes and her sister Kaitlin Huffstetler feel helpless in the search.
Huffstetler says,”Getting justice for him is the most important thing to me. He’ll never be able to be here for our children or to walk me down the aisle. We know nothing will bring him back but getting justice for him will do some good.”
The two are increasing the reward for information to $5000 in hopes of finding whoever’s responsible.
Barnes pleads,”You robbed us of so much, you robbed our dad of so much. We just want answers and we want to know why and we’re begging anyone who knows anything to come forward, say something, please…please.”
Answers and information that both girls agree are essential to their comfort and closure.
“He was always saying how proud he was of us and so we just want to make him proud and get justice for him,” says Huffstetler.
