Richland Library finalist for 2016 National Medal for Museum, Library Service

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Break out the books. The Richland Library has been named one of 30 finalists for the Institute of Museum and Library Services National Medal.
 According to officials, it is the nation’s highest honor in its’ sector.
 The award recognizes and honors institutions that demonstrate “extraordinary and innovative approaches” to public service.
 According to the Richland Library, last year they had more than 2.7  million visitors throughout their 11 locations and offered more than 5,000 programs.
 
 Winners will be announced in the Spring at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
