Teen found dead in Spartanburg apartment

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in his Spartanburg apartment as a homicide.

Investigators said an employee at the apartment complex found the body of Deandre Nitique Fulton-Smith after entering his apartment around noon Monday to check on him.

Spartanburg County deputies say Fulton-Smith’s 2011 light blue Toyota Camry is missing.

The coroner’s office did not release a cause of death and has scheduled an autopsy.
