Police: Former PTA president charged with taking up to $50K
Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)–A former president of a Midlands Parent-Teacher Association is accused of taking tens of thousands from the organization.
Police in Sumter say Debbie Flynn was serving as the PTA president at Millwood Elementary school when an investigation determined she took up to $50,000 for personal use.
Police say she is charged with breach of trust and faces up to ten years in prison.
