Local Living: Columbia VA Health Care System hosting “World Diabetes Day” event

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) —  In today’s look at local living, the Columbia VA Health Care System is hosting a “World Diabetes Day” event tomorrow.
It will be held at the Dorn VA Campus on Garners Ferry Road from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will include food demos, tastings, a Diabetes Day walk, a relaxation/meditation session, educational presentations, and more.

The 38th annual Vista Lights kicks off this week.
More than 60 galleries, shops, and restaurants will showcase their holiday items and dishes.
There will also be a tree lighting at the corner of Gervais and Lincoln Streets.
It all takes place this Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Historic Columbia is offering guided holiday tours for the end of the year.
Starting Wednesday, anyone can see a variety of holiday decorations from the 19th century at the Robert Mills House and the Hampton-Preston Mansion.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children.
