Richland Co. Council approves pay increase for full-time employees
Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Some Richland County employees could soon see a big raise.
Monday night the Richland County Council approved a class and compensation for full time county employees.
The average employee is expected to see an annual increase of $4,777.
“I am proud to see the implementation of salary increases for Richland County employees finally come to fruition,” said Richland County Council Chair Overture Walker. “This is a win-win for the County and a critical step in Council’s commitment to employee well-being and recognizing those individuals who work tirelessly to serve our communities each and every day.”
The changes will go into effect on December 21st.
Officials say the adjustment was recommended by a management consulting firm to bring Richland county in line with neighboring counties’ salaries.
