Walgreens wants to become online delivery hub

CNN– Walgreens wants your corner drugstore to become an online delivery hub.

The national retailer is planning to have 87 hundred brick-and-mortar stores do double duty as fulfillment centers.

Walgreens will have its store employees pick and pack items for same-day delivery for apps like DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Customers shopping on the Walgreens website or app can still have items shipped to their homes.

But the company hopes to steer its customers toward same-day delivery when items are in stock nearby.
