Fairfield County: Coroner identifies man who died after vehicle collision
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office has identified the man of a fatal collision on Nov. 25 in the Greenbriar area.
The coroner says 61-year-old Darryl Wayne Pearson, of Winnsboro, S.C. was the driver of a vehicle that was traveling on Greenbriar Mossydale Road near Paper Road.
The coroner’s office says the vehicle left the roadway, hit multiple trees, and came to rest in the middle of the roadway.
Pearson was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy is scheduled with Newberry Pathology to confirm his cause of death.
The Fairfield County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol say the vehicle accident remains an active investigation.
