Lexington deputies scheduled to hold blood drive
LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) — Deputies in Lexington County are rolling up their sleeves this week to help the American Red Cross by donating blood.
Sheriff James Metts says member of the public are also welcome to participate in the blood drive Tuesday at the sheriff’s department in Lexington.
The sheriff’s department regularly partners up with the American Red Cross for blood drives. Since 2006, Metts says his deputies’ blood drives have resulted in the donation of more than 1,000 units of blood to the organization.
