Local Living: Building Better Communities hosting annual Joyous Christmas event

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–In today’s look at Local Living, Building Better Communities is hosting its 10th annual ‘Joyous Christmas’ event this weekend.

The organization will give free gifts to less fortunate families on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Grace Christian Church in Columbia.

There will also be awards and performances.

 

The Town of Lexington is throwing its annual Snowball Festival Carnival this weekend at the Icehouse Amphitheater.

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and will feature small carnival rides, face painting, ballon art and more.

The event is free to the public.

 

Historic Columbia is offering guided holiday tours through the end of the year.

You can see a variety of holiday decorations from the 19th century at the Robert Mills House and the Hampton-Preston Mansion.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 dollars for kids.
