COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–In today’s look at Local Living, you can enjoy some holiday movies at the Icehouse Amphitheater in Lexington.

“The Grinch” will be showing Thursday night at 6 p.m. and “The Santa Clause” will be showing Friday night at 6 p.m.

Both events are free.

A Winter Solstice Lantern Parade is being held at Riverfront Park South tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in honor of the first day of winter.

Event goers are encouraged to bring lanterns and join together for a night of fun and celebration.

Indah Coffee will be on hand for warm drinks and Emerald’s Artistry will offer face painting.

The event is free but donations are being accepted.

You can donate to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s food drive this week.

From today through Friday deputies will be at the Lowes Food on Augusta Highway across from Lexington High School from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to collect non-perishable food items.

They’re partnering with Mission Lexington for the event.
