Midlands gas prices trending upward

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Gas prices in the midlands are trending upward.

According to the Columbia Gas Prices website, the average price per gallon in the area is $2.84 a gallon which is up nearly 20 cents from this time a year ago.

We are still significantly lower than the national average of $3.06 a gallon.

Also, the website says you can find gas for $2.66 a gallon at Murphy Express on Airport Boulevard.
