Body of Missing Sumter Boater Recovered

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to Sumter County authorities, the body of Harry Lee Bradley has been located in the Pocotaligo River in Sumter County.
Deputies say the body of the missing boater was found near the area where the boat was discovered about 3:30 p.m.

Officials say Bradley was dropped off at the river by friends around noon on Saturday to go fishing and when they returned Saturday afternoon to pick him up he was not there.
Family members had reported Bradley missing on Sunday morning.
Ken Bell, with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Department, says the Sheriff’s office sent deputies to search the scene and Sunday afternoon DNR recovered Bradley’s boat with several of his personal belongings inside but no sign of Bradley.

Family members tell ABC Columbia Bradley knew the area very well and is an experienced fisherman.

Bradley’s body was found Tuesday afternoon, say deputies.
