Local Living: Enjoy an evening of classical music at the Koger Center for the Arts

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local living, you can enjoy an evening of classical music at the Koger Center for the Arts.

The South Carolina Philharmonic is performing for their “Beethoven and Blue Jeans”concert.

Make sure to wear your best denim on Saturday, Jan.13 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available online.

You can join Historic Columbia for a free, guided bird walk around the Hampton-Preston Gardens.

Participants will learn how to identify birds by sight, sound and behavior.

There are only 15 spots available so registration is required.

The event takes place next Thursday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.

You still have time to visit “Wild Lights” at Riverbanks Zoo.

Now through Jan. 14 spectators can encounter nearly 60 larger-than-life handcrafted lanterns inspired by nature.

Along the way, they’ll experience interactive displays, fun new photo-ops and nightly snowfall.
