Man accused in 1986 Lexington County child killing to go on trial in February

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A man accused of kidnapping and murdering a four year old girl nearly 40 years ago will appear in court next month.

According to the State Attorney General’s Office, Thomas McDowell’s trial is set for February 5, 2024 in Lexington.

He is charged in connection with the disappearance and death of Jessica Gutierrez in 1986.
