Suspect sought in fatal hit-and-run on I-26

hitandrun22.jpgCALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for information about a fatal hit-and-run collision that happened Saturday evening, on I-26 in Calhoun County.

Troopers said a burgundy Nissan Rogue was struck and run off the roadway. A passenger in that vehicle sustained fatal injuries.

Here’s what state troopers know so far about the incident:

  • When: Saturday, May 7, 2016 at approximately 5:40 p.m.
  • Where: Interstate 26 eastbound (towards Charleston) near the 134 mile marker, Calhoun County, South Carolina.
  • Vehicle / Suspect Information: The vehicle is white and expected to have damage on the right front fender area (passenger side). The vehicle is possibly a pickup truck.
