Midlands Residents Go Red for Women’s Health
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Midlands is seeing red.
Thursday is the 10th Anniversary Midlands Go Red for Women Luncheon.
More than two hundred men and women are set to attend the event aimed at raising awareness of heart disease and stroke as the number one killer of women.
Go Red For Women is designed to empower women to take charge of their health and collectively wipe out heart disease and stroke. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. with a heart-healthy expo followed by a seated lunch and keynote address from Catherine Heigel, Director of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
