Saluda Co. Deputy, Suspect Injured in Officer-Involved Shooting

Saluda Co., S.C. (WOLO)–A Saluda County deputy and a suspect were hospitalized after an officer involved shooting.

Investigators with the saluda county sheriff’s department say at around 4pm Friday deputies were serving an arrest warrant at a home on Old Lexington Rd. near the Saluda-Lexington county line.

Deputies say when they approached the suspect tried to drive off in a car but struck a patrol car injuring a deputy.

Officers then fired on the suspect’s car striking him.
SLED is investigating the incident.
