3 men arrested in Sumter shooting death

SUMTER, S.C. (AP) — Three men have been arrested in the shooting death of a man in Sumter earlier this year.

Twenty-eight-year-old Jimmy Jenkins, 24-year-old Gregory Jones and 21-year-old Mario Lloyd were arrested by Sumter police on Thursday and charged with murder, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Thirty-four-year-old Kevin Jones of Sumter was shot in the chest and killed on Oct. 6.

Investigators say robbery was the motive in the shooting.
