Sumter Man Charged with Firing Gun Into Home

Sumter, S.C. (WOLO)–  A Sumter County man is accused of trying to kill two adults, a 14 year old, and a 2 year old.

Investigators say on December 7th, 2015 Nicholas Scudder fired a handgun into the family’s home on Bruce Circle.

Deputies say a subsequent SLED investigation lead authorities to match the bullets found in the home with a gun in Scudder’s possession.

The motive behind the shooting is not known at this time.
