York man accused of assaulting disabled daughter

YORK, S.C. (AP) — A 68-year-old York man has been arrested and accused of assaulting his disabled daughter.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported that Robert Bruszenski was arrested Wednesday night and charged with second-degree assault and battery.

A police report said Bruszenski called officers and threatened to kill his 40-year-old daughter unless someone came to get her The woman is mostly confined to a wheelchair because she suffers from multiple sclerosis.

She was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment. The police report says her eye was swollen shut and her face was bleeding from the attack.

Bruszenski was being held in the York County jail. It was unclear if he has an attorney.
