Officers pack winter kits for South Carolina communities
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Police officers across the state came to Columbia on Thursday to make sure people in their communities stay warm.
On early Thursday Serve and Connect hosted officers from 13 different agencies as they packed 600 winter kits as part of the non-profits warm winter initiative.
The kits include a hat, gloves, a scarf and a blanket along with information on resources available to those in need.
The kits are sponsored by Yelverton Litigators and the South Carolina Bar Foundation.
