London ex-mayor says no to being PM

LONDON (AP) _ A surprise in Britain. Former London Mayor Boris Johnson now says he’s not interested in becoming prime minister, replacing David Cameron.

Cameron announced his resignation last week, after British voters decided to leave the European Union.

Johnson had been considered a top contender for the Conservative Party leadership, and he had campaigned for Britain to leave the EU.
