Bamberg begins clean-up days after EF-2 tornado tore through town

BAMBERG, S.C. (WOLO)– It’s been ten days since an EF-2 tornado tore through the tiny town of Bamberg and caused damage to several buildings.

County officials say engineers have given the all-clear to begin the cleanup process.

However they say the downed buildings are still off-limits until they are declared safe.

Officials say the Department of Transportation brought in 8 dump trucks yesterday to remove fallen bricks and other debris from the area.
