CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — The Coastal Carolina University mens baseball team, the newly crowned National Champions, is being welcomed home today with a motorcade through downtown Conway and a ceremony at the university.

Fans have lined the streets of downtown Conway to cheer as the motorcade makes its way through the area around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The team will continue to the campus for the Welcome Home Ceremony, set to begin at around 2 p.m.

At approximately 2 p.m., the motorcade will arrive at the main entrance of the TD Sports Complex, located on West Chanticleer Drive.

Fans are also gathering there, from the Chauncey statue to the Springs Brooks Baseball Stadium, to cheer on and welcome the team.

The official Welcome Home Ceremony will immediately follow at the stadium.

Hundreds of cheering fans turned out last night to welcome home the CCU National Champions as they arrived at Myrtle Beach International Airport.
