Deputies: Woman accused of strangling grandmother

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–Deputies with the Richland Co. Sheriff’s Department say Aneia Anderson is charged with murder.

Investigators say on January 19th deputies responded to a home on Dunnagon St. in reference to a domestic disturbance.

When deputies arrived, they say Aneia Anderson told them she had been in a fight with her 79 year old grandmother who was identified by the Richland County coroner as Lutisha Benson.

Deputies say they found the victim unresponsive and taken to the hospital where she later died.

Authorities say it was ultimately determined that Anderson strangled the woman.
