More than 30 million people have unclaimed money or assets, Are you one of them?

(CNN)– U.S. treasurers are telling Americans they may be among the millions of people who have cash assets waiting to be claimed.

According to the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators, over 30 million people in the U.S. have unclaimed property.

Not only that but also unclaimed money from inactive bank accounts, unused rebate cards, uncashed paychecks, dividend checks or life insurance policy payouts.

It also could be securities from an old safe deposit box or an inheritance.
