RCSD: Inmate charged with criminal sexual conduct

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff Leon Lot says an inmate at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center has been charged with criminal sexual conduct 1st degree.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Calvin Malik Tucker is accused of a physical and sexual assault that happened at the jail between Nov. 16, and Nov. 17., 2023.

Deputies were notified of the incident after the victim’s mother who was contacted by the victim, contacted deputies.

Law enforcement say during the investigation, it was determined that Tucker was responsible for the assault.
